There are several membership options, these are Guest, Enthusiast, Aspiring Member, Member, Affiliate, Student Member, Design Institution, Design Press, all membership options are for 5 Years.

Designers, design companies and studios, design related institutions, design magazines, design schools, design students and design ethusiasts are welcome to join Association of Design, however each will have a different membership options depending on the position. The Purpose of Association of Design, most important of all is to increase the profit of member designers and design businesses. Our aim is; to advertise the member designers to public and companies so that they can find additional clients and develop a high profile clientele. To draw the line between professional, full-time designers, design companies and enthusiasts or amateurs, so that professionals can get high quality, better paying jobs. To make the public design sensetive so that the public demands design oriented products, benefiting designers directly and indirectly. To make companies understand the added value generated by design, so that they hire more designers with higher payoffs.

» Who is a Guest Member?
The guest member is a person who uses the AoD webpages with limitations to reach some of the information he is searching for such as finding a designer etc.
 
» Who is a Enthusiast Member?
The enthusiast member is a person who is not a professional designer but who would like to get in touch with designers, join design related events and conferences. Enthusiasts can use many of the services without limitation in a non-commercial way. Enthusiasts also do have their profile pages, but they do not appear in "designer" search results, can only be found by the browse function and advanced search. Their profile notes "Enthusiast Member".
 
» Who is a Student Member?
Any student that is enrolled in a design faculty can become a student member, student members can use the benefits to a great extend, however their profile pages notes that they are "student members", they are displayed at the end of search results when searching for a designer.
 
» Who is a Professional Member?
A Professional designer with a solid background experience of at least 3 years is eligable to become a professional member. "Professional Member"s are displayed at the top when searching for designers and their profile notes that they are "Professional Members". They can use the benefits and services of the Association of Design to a maximum extend.
 
» Who is a Honorary Member?
A Professional designer with a solid background experience of at least 20 years, or with extraordinary skills and abilities that create profound effects on the design field, university professors with at least 10 years of experience are eligable to become a Honorary Member. "Honorary Member" is the highest status that a designer can achieve. They can use the benefits and services of the Association of Design to a maximum extend. They do not appear in "Designer Search" results but can be found by browsing or advanced search.
 
» Who is a Design Studio Representative?
A Professional designer or a manager of a design studio can represent a "Design Company", or usually a "Design Studio", this is noted at their profile pages, they have to fill the full profile during registration, they benefit from the services provided by the association of design to the maximum extend. They appear in the result of "Search Design Studios" and "Browse Design Studios" plus they appear at the member index. Design studio representatives can create a profile page for the design studios they represent.
 
» Who is a Design Institution Representative?
A representative of a Design University, Design Faculty, Fine-Arts Faculty, Music Faculty and Design Schools and similar can be considered as a design institution representative. The institutions they represent are visible through "Browse Design Schools" functionality, and they can benefit to the full extend of services provided by the Association of Design. Design institution representatives can create a profile page for the institutions they represent.
 
» Who is a Design Press Representative?
A representative of a design related press, newspaper, significant blogs and webpages, newsletters, periodicals and similar communication tools can join association of design as a design press representative. Design press can access to the image banks of designers, and can benefit from all the services offered by the Association of Design. Design press representatives can create a profile page for the company/institution they represent.
 
» Who is a Affiliate Representative?
A person, who works for a company that does a business related to design, design realization, design production, designer goods production and similar can become an affiliate representative, affiliate representatives can create a profile page for the company they represent. They are included in the advanced search, and browse member pages. They can benefit from most of the services provided by the Association of Design.
 
» How do you spend the Membership Fees and Incomes?
All the income is spent directly for benefit of the members, Our Budget can be divided into several levels these are: Campaigning; Staffing and overhead related to promotion and advocacy of good design to business, government and public alike, through advertisements and direct communications. Center Development; Reimbursements to chapters and local centers; staffing and overhead to support design centers; and expenses related to the management of local centers. Membership Development; Expenses related to promoting and processing memberships, such as printing, postage, advertising locally and in internet, member cards etc. Governance; Expenses of governing the Association, such as mailing, traveling, phone calls, staffing and other overhead. Publishing; The size of our print runs and publication makes it difficult to secure printing and paper in-kind sponsorships therefore we are spending a subsequent of our income in publishing. Web; Hosting fees for international web servers, consulting fees for the web masters and the web team, continues improvement of site design and functionality. Competitions and Exhibitions; Printing and mailing call for entries, juror expenses, costs of exhibitions and organization of competitions. Conferences; Conference expense varies yearly, depending on the number of conferences and their size and scope, organizational and production values are paid. Raising Money; Development for raising money through sponsorships, and grants, costs include staffing, travel and printing of communication materials. Education ; Education of staff and members through seminars and workshops, curriculum development of members.
